On 15 February 2025 the 31st Foundation Cum Cultural Day of Anderson Theological College was celebrated with the theme, “Honoring God Through Culture.”

Dr Shitovi Sumi Principal, Anderson Theological College, greeted the guests with updates on God’s continued grace and mercy towards the growth of ATC. He gave all glory to God for bringing ATC to a point where we can proudly say that ATC is at par with leading theological colleges and seminaries of the world in delivering excellence and producing servant leaders who have a heart for God’s ministry.

All the guests were made to feel welcome by the warm welcome address delivered by Mr. Kahovi Aye, Academic Dean.

Our esteemed special guest Rev. Dr. Joshua Rochill Former Principal ATC, shared the inspiring story of how the college was founded in the first session. Through a mix of personal experiences and hardship of pioneers, he took the audience on an emotional memory lane back to the early days, emphasizing the vision, mission, challenges, and achievements that led to the establishment of the institution we cherish today. His speech was a witness to God’s Faithfulness and the legacy of hard work and dedication of the pioneers that continues to shape the college’s mission and vision.

He took a moment to encourage both the faculty, staff, and students to always ‘Uphold the Truth’ in all their endeavors. In addition, Dr. Joshua also made a profound analogy, comparing the relationship between the SBAK and ATC to that of a husband and wife. He emphasized that just as a marriage thrives on mutual respect, trust, and collaboration, so too should the bond between the Association and the college. Both entities, he noted, must work together in harmony, supporting each other through challenges and celebrating successes.

A special prayer for the ATC Ministry was led by Mr. Akai Yeptho Accountant Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu Aizuto, who invoked blessings and guidance for the faculty, staff, students, and ministry’s continued growth and success.

Session two was graced by the presence of our special guest, Mr Kiviho Kinny, Senior Treasury Officer, Wokha Nagaland. He was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Pavitoli K. Chishi and Mr. Ahoshe Yeptho Pastor Wokha Town Sumi Baptist Church. Mr Kinny’s address added a unique perspective to the celebration, as he shared his experiences and thoughts on the importance of educational institutions in shaping young minds for the future, participate in embracing diverse culture and inspiring everyone to continue striving for excellence.

A special prayer for the special guest was offered by Rev. Picuto Yeptho Pastor Centre Baptist Church Aizuto, who encouraged them with scripture and prayed for their well-being, and success.

The cultural extravaganza that followed brought together the creativity and talent of our students. Various performances, including music, dance, and cultural activities, captivated the audience and showcased the rich diversity of culture within our college community.

The event was a perfect blend of honoring God’s faithfulness, reflection on our past, appreciation for our present, and excitement for the future.

The college authority expresses sincere gratitude to our special guests, all the participants and well-wishers who attended the Foundation cum Cultural Day of the college. The college looks forward to continuing this tradition of unity and excellence in the years to come.

‘Soli Deo Gloria.’
